Does a Prophet Always Know Everything?


Is a prophet omniscient? Point here is, that the answer is now. He always is not even the most knowledgeable one. He’s just been called to serve and administer the affairs of the Church, so we would do well to heed his advise. He does have revelatory powers, but they are not “on” 24/7.

Commandments; The Why, Part 3


My final stab at trying to define the reason for commandments. God has given them to us out of love, not out of a need to control us. We can follow our Savior out of love better and better as we learn how he heals us as we stumble on our way to a spiritual wholeness.

Commandments, the Whys Part 2


Now, you can see that the same commandment protects the one I would steal from. Moreover, I would say that there is another side to the commandments. A spiritual side, that is. The Lord states quite clearly, for example, that the law of tithing will prepare us for the law of consecration. We get used to the idea, that what we have is not necessarily all ours.
